Members of Durrow Gun Club had a very successful first day of the new season’s shooting on November 1st last. The first day competitions were all very well contested with the eaviest Pheasant: First – David Donohue; Second – Michael Monahan; Third – Seamus Doyle. Longest Pheasant: First – Lee Donohue; Second – Ray Fogarty; Third – Michael Monahan.

The best overall bird on the night was won by David Donohue. Congratulations to all our winners and a special thank you to the landowners who make this day possible. Thank you also to Joe Doyle who judged all competitions. The Tommy Thornton Memorial Cup and the Sean Jacob Shield was won by Lee Donohue, this is the third time in the club history that both trophies were won by the same person. Lee’s father David won both trophies twice in 1991 and 1997. Congratulations to Lee and best of luck to all gun club members for the season ahead!
