ANGLING: The Durrow-Cullohill Anglers held a Pike fishing competition for the O’Duain Cup recently and the winner was Michael Walsh, second was Tommy Coffey and third was David Walsh. On Sunday March 25th the club will re-hold a trout fishing competition for the Michael Walsh Cup. This competition was held on St. Patrick’s Say but due to the very bad weather and flood waters no fish of the qualifying standard were caught. The Billy Lawlor Memorial Trout Fishing competition fixed for March 25th will now be rearranged for another date. Entries taken at Lawlor’s Flower shop from 9.30am and weigh-in is at 6pm sharp in the Durrow Inn. Membership is available at Lawlor’s Gala, Daybreak, Lawlor’s Flower Shop and from Michael Walsh, Erkindale Drive.
