Lennons Venue

The Lennon Family started business in Durrow in 1947. At that time the business consisted of a bar, grocery and butchers. The late Mr. Owen Lennon came from Monaghan County. He had spent some years in America before returning home to lease a business in Durrow. His late son Hugh and his wife Mary (nee. Purcell) both bought the business over forty years ago. Now, Marc Lennon (son of Mary and Hugh) runs the pub. Following wholesale renovations, Marc and Mary celebrated sixty years of business in 2007.

All are welcome to come and enjoy the pleasent atmosphere in the newly refurbished premises. Lennons Venue is an excellent modern trendy bar set in the picturesque town of Durrow. The venue boasts three bars, including an outdoor bar for those warm sunny summers evenings when Ireland’s top bands come to entertain. Every weekend there is live music followed by resident DJ Sheppo.
