Lawlors Gala

Lawlors Gala is an established store operating for over 35 years at the Square Durrow. The premises was originally the local Post Office for the village, run by Maggie McGrath. Following Maggie the premises was acquired by Brendan Sheeran who opened a local store and he was the first registered newsagent in the village.

In 1976 Billy and Susan Lawlor purchased the business and continued to operate the store as a newsagent and food market. In 1998 Susan joined the Gala franchise and transformed the store into a contemporary convenience store focused on servicing the local community.

We provide a comprehensive selection of newspapers and magazines, cards, minerals, confectionary, fresh local fruit and vegetables and grocery. We provide a large deli counter with a selection of cold and hot food prepared daily. We are also a Registered National Lottery agent, having successfully sold a €2.7million winning jackpot ticket.

Our Bakers Corner provides delicious freshly baked breads, scones, muffins and tarts daily.
