Parish Lotto

Durrow Parish Lotto was formed in 1993 to help fund our local Community Employment Scheme. A number of Clubs and Organisations in the Parish got together to make this a very successful Lotto. It helps to fund each Club/Organisation involved on a monthly basis and contributes a fixed amount to the running of the CE Scheme.

Each year the Accounts have to be brought to the Superintendent of the Garda Siochana in Portlaoise for inspection before a new Licence can be applied for. At present there are seven clubs/organisations involved. These include The Harps GAA, Durrow/Cullohill Anglers, Third Laois Durrow Scouts, Lions AFC, Durrow Community Council, Our Lady’s Meadow Primary School Parents Council and Durrow and District Gun Club.

The draw takes place every Monday night and if the Jackpot is not won there is a draw for €75 in prize money, with €150 being added to the following week’s overall Jackpot.
