Community Services

Durrow Community Services is the sponsoring body for the Community Employment Scheme in Durrow and has been in existence since 1989. Along with our existing training and development of the participants we play a supporting role for various organisations i.e. Durrow Community Playgroup, Meals-on-Wheels, Durrow Tidy Towns and Durrow Development Forum.

Our committee is made up of representatives from eight local organisations. On a monthly basis meetings are held to ascertain the progress of the projects being undertaken by the various organisations to which we have an input. Projects are being undertaken in Cullohill, Attanagh and Durrow. Currently there are seventeen participants on the Community Employment Scheme with a supervisor.

The CE Scheme Offices are in the Small Community Hall situated to the right of the RC Church gates on the Kilkenny Road, Durrow and are open five days per week (Monday to Friday).
