LADIES BASKETBALL GET TOGETHER: Any women interested in playing Basketball, nothing serious, just a get together and throw the ball, are invited to come along to the Community Centre Hall, Durrow at 7.00pm on Tuesday evenings. WOODENBRIDGE PADDLERS: Despite the inclement conditions there was a big attendance of participants and spectators for the second staging of the Woodenbridge Paddlers Goul River Challenge as part of National Trails Day. With a new section of the River Goul to explore this year and the event on the National Trails Website visitors from Dublin travelled to take part. The trail started from Fertagh Bridge, Galmoy. En route participants were shown the different plant life that exists on the river, while the water course which serviced Ballinfrase Mill was also a point of interest, bird life was also evident with the Mute Swan and the Kingfisher casting a curious eye. The organizers would like to thank all for making this a very enjoyable event.

LIONS AFC NEWS: The South East Draw tickets are now available from all players and club members. The first draw takes place on Friday 11th November. All tickets are to be returned by 28th October. ALL TICKETS PAID IN FULL and returned by that date will be entered into club draw for 2 FREE TICKETS. This draw will take place on the 7th November before the parish lotto. Please support.
