copper-kettleThere is sad news for Durrow this Friday as The Copper Kettle Restaurant is closing it’s doors after 23 years in business. Ger and Trish Alley opened the well-known business back in 1993 as a take-away but quickly built up the business and expanded it to open a restaurant soon after. The restaurant was a well known stop-off on the then N8 main Dublin to Cork route and became established as a popular choice for those on the inter-city journey. Ger and Trish Alley have asked durrow.ie to thank everyone for their custom as their kind words below say and also outline their plans for the future:

Dear Customers,

After 23 years of successful business, “The Copper Kettle” Restaurant will close on Friday 23rd of September 2016. We would like to thank all our staff over the years who offered great service to our business. Extended thank you to our customers who came through our doors & enjoyed the “Copper Kettle” experience. Trish & Ger will now enjoy retirement after an enjoyable service in the Hospitality industry.

The next chapter of “The Copper Kettle” begins in the coming weeks as we will focus solely on the chipper outlet. The Chipper will be renovated and developed in the coming weeks. We look forward to welcoming you through our doors in the future. We are delighted to invite our customers to join us for final refreshments from 2pm-6pm this Friday.

Thank You, Yours in Business,

The Alley Family.

All at durrow.ie wish Ger and Trish the very best for the future in retirement and to the family as the business undertakes renovation and begins a new chapter in our town.
