WARNING TO WALKERS ON LEAFY LOOPS WALK: Durrow Development Forum wish to advise intending walkers of flooding and downed trees along the Leafy Loop Walk owing to the recent storms. Coillte have been advised of the downed trees and work on these is ongoing. For more information and advice on the walks, contact Noeleen on (087) 9636460 who is surveying the walk on a daily basis.

SOCIAL DANCE: St. Fergal’s College, Rathdowney will host a Social Dance in The Templemore Arms on March 21st. Doors open at 9pm. Music by Pat Costello and the Midnight Dynamos starting 9.30pm. Tickets, €10 are available at St. Fergal’s College and on the door on the night. All proceeds go towards St. Fergal’s College Gym Fund. All support greatly appreciated. DRAMA: Clough/Ballacolla GAA Club are hosting a drama called ‘The Six Mary’s’ by Jean Farrell and Catherine Gallagher on Friday the 21st March at 8pm in the Hawthorn Community Building, Ballacolla. DAFFODIL DAY: Durrow Development Forum are holding a fundraising event for the Irish Cancer Society’s Daffodil Day. It will be held on Saturday 29th March after 7pm Mass and also Sunday 30th March after 11am Mass in the Presentation Centre, Durrow. WOODENBRIDGE PADDLERS: The Raft Race will finally go ahead on Monday next, St.Patricks Day and will start at 2pm with registration from 1.30pm. The event will support the Woodenbridge Community Alert/Killermogh Church window fund. Refreshments and raffle will be held afterwards in Bobs Bar, Durrow. The Woodenbridge Paddlers will also take part in the annual Parade which takes place in Durrow on Sunday March 16th. For more information contact (087) 2395357.
