Harps GAA St. Stephen’s Day Tournament 2019 🗓
The Annual Harps GAA St. Stephen’s Day Tournament is on this Thursday morning, December 26th at The Harps GAA grounds in Cullohill at 10.45am. This year the Club are hosting a football tournament with donations on the day going towards “The Friends of Shane Walsh” fundraiser and towards the cost of a defibrillator for the Club, so it is certainly well worth supporting. The tournament promises to be great craic featuring a mix of current and former players and some who are confused as to which group they belong to! Following a committee meeting on Sunday evening, the following teams were selected by the five managers vying to be crowned champions on Thursday… (see below for fixtures and tournament rules)

The first game throws in at 10.45am and sees East Kerry v Kilcoo with the winners progressing to meet Ballybooden at 11.45am. The loosers will go into the shield final to be played at 12.15pm. At 11.15am Corofin meet Nemo Rangers with the winners here progressing to the Tournament final at 12.45pm, the loosers here make up the other spot in the shield final.
In the event of any match ending in a draw, penalties will be used to settle the score. Each game will be twenty minutes, giving ten minutes per half. Your referees for the day are Fred Townsend and John Prior and assisting them will be Pat Barnaville and Dave Finnegan. The assistant referees will be responsible for making sure that the correct number of players are on the field at all times.
