LaoisKayakCongratulations to LKCC Club Members for super results in the Marathon Ranking Race on Sunday 25th May in Celbridge, a second for Paul and third place for Matt in the Men’s GP; second for Derek & Brendan in Canadian, third for Johnny & Carmel in Canadian, First place for Mikie and third for Conor in the U18 GP.

Kayaking Beginner Sessions have changed from Tuesday to Wednesday evenings at 7pm. Our qualified instructors will show you some of the techniques and disciplines of paddling. All equipment including kayaks, helmets and buoyancy aids will be provided. Anyone interested should message us on Facebook www.facebook.com/laoiskayak or send an email to info@laoiskayak.com – the cost is €5 per person. You must be able to swim 25 metres competently. If you are a junior (under 16 years old), then a parent or guardian must be present for the duration of the session.

The club will compete this weekend in the Galway Canoe Polo Open as the annual Galway Canoe Polo Open returns to The Claddagh Basin in Galway city this June bank holiday weekend. LKCC will be entering a team in Division 3 and we wish all the players the very best of luck in the tournament!

The club enjoyed a great river trip on May 18th with the scouts from Roscrea. The weather was very good and both the club and the scouts enjoying the day out.
