European Championships in Slovakia: LKCC would like to wish their club member Calvin O’Brien the very best of luck on the Junior Irish Freestyle Kayaking Team over the coming thirteen days, we hope he spins, flips, loops and turns and despite his recent injury that he scores his best and executes a McNasty and Helix.

Thomastown Paddlers Marathon Ranking Race: Well done to Paul Byrne who came first in the men’s GP and Mikie Murphy who came first in the U15 GP

Junior Paddlefest: Takes place this year in Hidden Valley, Rathdrum, Co. Wicklow from 19th to the 21st Sept. It’s a great introduction to kayaking for 8 to 18 year olds giving you a chance to try out all the disciplines of canoeing.  Participants must be members of Canoeing Ireland (which you are if you are a LKCC member) main events are for 12yrs plus with other events for U12s. Camping is available on site, but must be booked, closing date for bookings are 30th August 2014.
