ODIN: Kettlebell Fitness and Sport Classes continue on Fridays in Core Fitness via ODIN Kettlebell Club. Times: 6pm for kids and 7pm for adults. ANGLING: Durrow-Cullohill Parish Anglers are holding their last Trout fishing competition for the Paddy Holohan Memorial Cup on Sunday September 15th. Entries taken at Lawlor’s Flower shop from 9.30am with fishing from 10am. The weigh-in will be in the Durrow Inn at 6pm. Usual rules apply.

COME DINE WITH ME IN BALLINAKILL: Ballinakill Community Development Committee Fundraiser – A call out to the next Darina Allen or Neven Maguire, We are looking for Hosts to hold a “Come Dine with Me” evening on the 14th of September 2019. The Host can invite as many guests as they wish, providing a 3 course meal, each guest pays €35 per person. This event is a BYOB event, the Hosts contribution is the meal they provide. Who knows the amount could even be topped up if your meal is worthy! Funds raised go towards the €13,000 needed as match funding for a Playground in Ballinakill. Girls night in? Boys night in? WATER SAFETY IRELAND: Laois Autumn Classes at Portlaoise Leisure Centre begin on the following: Saturday, 21st September from 9am to 10am – Juniors/Students €60 (aged 12 to 15 years).
