THIRD LAOIS DURROW SCOUTS
Beavers: With the restrictions lifted Beavers are back out and about practicing their skills and getting ready for the camping season to start, they are especially looking forward to the summer camp this year. Cubs are out in the hills and woods working on their hiking and backwoods skills and are also looking forward to the many activities they have coming up shortly.
Ventures: The venture crew are putting a project together based on the work in the scout garden and vegetable patch. The project will be submitted as part of the Young environmental awards and we wish them the best of luck in the awards.
Scouts: The scout group are currently starting a biodiversity project in Durrow, the aim of the project is to survey, map and identify wildlife and plants present in three different locations. This project wouldnโt have been possible without permission from three local landowners, Canice Farrell, Seamus Comerford and Michael Fogarty and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to them. The project is expected to take 12 months to complete and all research and findings will be available to view after completion.
Waiting List: The group have huge numbers in all sections this year so unfortunately canโt take any new members at the moment. A waiting list is currently in operation for September and to add your child just send their name and their age to gldurrow@gmail.com by email.
