Thoughts of The Day

On the wings of Memory we rise and fly away, back into the ever-lovely lands of yesterday. We live again the sweetest moments of the bygone years, disappointments are forgotton, sorrow disappears. Time draws golden veils across the scenes of grief and pain. Birthdays come and birthdays go, but memories remain.

********************

Store the sunshine in the secret places of the heart. Then should shadows fall and all the golden hours depart, you’d still be happy for you’d have the brightness stored away, to bring the memory of June into a winter’s day.

Durrow Tidy Towns

Flowers have been erected on the new lamp posts in Mary Street and Tae Lane. Residents in that area are watering them every evening, this is most important as the flowers would die within a couple of days without water. The Tidy Towns Committee wish to Thank Durrow Development Forum for their sponsorship of these flowers.

We appeal to everyone to assist in keeping Durrow clean and tidy for the summer. We thank those who have put out window boxes and hanging baskets and would like to see more. Please encourage your children to be litter conscious.

A small effort would make a big difference.
