ALL IRELAND TALENT SHOW: Local group Na Fianna will appear on the All Ireland Talent Show on Sunday 24th January on RTE1 at 6.30pm. Lee Campion, son of Bobby and Marian Campion is a member of the group so make sure to vote for them on the night and get Na Fianna a step closer to becoming All Ireland Talent Show Champions.
DURROW COMMUNITY COUNCIL: The Annual Senior Citizens Party will he held on Saturday 6th March in the Castle Arms Hotel from 2.00pm to 6.00pm. The January meeting of Durrow Community Council will be held on Monday next 18th January at 8.30pm in the Computer Centre. All members please attend.
POSITIVELY DURROW 2010: The general public is invited to the launch of Positively Durrow 2010 on Thursday 28th January in the Castle Arms Hotel at 8.00pm sharp. This in an open invitation to everyone with an interest in Durrow. Full details of the programme for the night is attached.

DURROW ACTIVE OVER 50’S GROUP: The weekly meetings of the Over 50’s Group will resume in the Boy’s School, on Tuesday 19th January at 7.30pm. New members always welcome.

IFA: Durrow IFA will hold a General Meeting on Tuesday 26th January at 8.00pm in Durrow Presentation Centre. Chairman of Laois Livestock Committee will be guest speaker on the night. All members are asked to attend.
BEST WISHES: Best wishes to Julianne Walshe, Bishopswood, Durrow on making it to the final of the Macra na Feirme, Bank of Ireland National Leadership Awards. Three overall winners will be selected based upon interviews with a judging panel and marking of an already submitted project. The National Final will take place on January 19th at Bank of Ireland Business Banking Offices in Dublin. Three overall winners will be presented with travel bursaries worth €2,000 each. Julianne is a founder member of Durrow/Abbeyleix Macra. She is wished the very best in the final.

ST. VINCENT de PAUL SOCIETY DURROW: The Durrow branch of St. Vincent de Paul Society wish to thank most sincerely all those who contributed to our Christmas collection and to our Church collections throughout 2009. We also wish to thank the Confirmation Class and the Communion Class of Our Lady’s Meadow, Primary School, the local Church of Ireland community and private individuals for their generous donations. HARPS CAMOGIE CLUB: The Harps Camogie Club Would like to thank the Woodenbridge Paddlers for their very generous donation following the recent Raft Race on the River Erkina. They also wish to thank everyone who entered Rafts in the race, all of the Businesses and individuals who gave so generously to this event. Your support is very gratefully welcomed.
THANK YOU: The Harps also wish to thank all of their loyal supporters, who have been there for the club in the last 4 glorious years. Even when the Junior Team were knocked out in the All-Ireland Semi Final, the standing ovation from the supporters in the stand of O’Moore Park was amazing and showed how gracious and loyal the supporters are to the team. For this the Harps Camogie Club thank each and every supporter.

THE HARPS GAA CLUB AGM: The Harps AGM will take place at 8.00pm on Friday 11th December in Durrow Dressing Rooms. All members or intending members are welcome to attend. A Mass for Deceased members of the Club will be held in Cullohill Church at 11.00am on Sunday 13th December.
DINNER DANCE: The Harps Dinner Dance will be held in the Castle Arms Hotel on Saturday Night 16th of January at 8.30pm sharp. This is the 25th year of The Harps, so the founding officers will be honoured and also, the Junior County Champions and selectors of that year. The brilliant Harps camogie Team will also be honoured and presented with their County and Leinster Medals. A great night is assured. Tickets are €30 each and are available at the door on the night.
