Exhibition of Durrow Art Club – February 2020 🗓
Exhibition of Durrow Art Club opens this Thursday evening 6th February 2020 in Abbeyleix Library. The exhibition runs for the full month of February!
Marie Moylan Artist: Marie Moylan, a native of Durrow, lived in London for 23 years and returned to live in Ireland in 2016. She founded the Durrow Art Club in May 2017. Marie studied Fine Art in Waterford Art College and qualified to teach art in the National College of Art and Design in Dublin. Her specialist subjects are drawing and painting.
Currently the group meets in the evenings on Wednesday and Thursday in Durrow Library. The group consists of adults of all levels, including beginners, who are introduced to a variety of materials and techniques. Members are from Durrow, Abbeyleix, Ballinakill, Cullahill and Ballyragget.
The group have already exhibited in the Art and Craft exhibition during the Durrow Scarecrow Festival in 2018 and 2019, but this is their first solo exhibition. In the group there is great comradery and mutual support. We always welcome new members.
