U6s U8s: Well done to our enthusiastic young camogie players who took part in the final blitz of the year in Rathleague GAA grounds last Saurday morning. The girls have trained hard all year and were well deserving of their goodie bag and medal at the conclusion of the blitz. Thanks to Laois Camogie for organising the morning. Members from the Laois U16 All Ireland winning squad and the Laois Intermediate team were present on the day to present medals. Thanks to Colin Lawlor, Siobhan Dwyer, Aiden Galvin and our forever enthusiastic trainer Mary Donohue for all their hard work and commitment to the teams.

Barneys Bonus Bonanza: Congratulations to Louise Mahony on winning Barney’s Bonus Bonanza for September. Louise is obviously on a lucky streak as this was her second win! Enjoy spending the money Louise!

Best Wishes to our Senior player Claire Walsh who has moved to Dubai in the last few weeks. She has been a long serving player for Harps Camogie and we wish her the best of luck abroad.

Intercounty: All Ireland U14 Development Blitz: Laois Team A lost the Semi-Final against Cork. They won matches against Galway, Tipperary, Waterford, Wexford and drew against Derry. Laois Team B were unfortunate to miss out on a Semi-Final place. They won matches against Cavan, Meath , Derry but Roscommon got the better of them.

U16B All Ireland: Congratulations to our U16’s on winning their All Ireland title two weeks ago in Co. Monaghan. Laois 3-06 Antrim 1-10. It was a proud moment for our own club as not only have we five representatives but Mollie O Connor was awarded Player of the Match. She was undoubtedly the top player on the field that day lining out as wing back but ultimately being given the job of man marking in the second half – a move which led her to grasp a sneaky goal while her marker fell back to defend. Well done Mollie! The Harps contingent of the Laois team consisted of Jade Bergin, Mollie O Connor, Roisin Phelan, Sophie McCabe and Eimear Fitzpatrick. Well done to all involved!
