HARPS GAA: Harps Minors: The Harps Minors/U17s are on a break at this stage with the important state examinations ongoing! The team has made a very good start in the local hurling league – winning their three games to date with victories over Rathdowney-Errill, Raheen Parish Gaels and Clough-Ballacolla-Mountrath. For the league game in Mountrath the team made an impressive recovery – down by 12 points at the break they regrouped to put in a great second half and eventually claim victory by the slimmest of margins. The footballers have two games played and recorded a victory over Spink but went down to Portlaoise. The hurlers have also played four games in the Kilkenny league – losing two by two points and drawing the other two games. All are training well and looking forward to the concluding stages of the leagues and to the championships getting underway.

With the state examinations started last Wednesday we wish all involved the very best of luck. The hard work is being put in on the training field and no doubt the same can be said for their school work. The work put in will be rewarded over the next fortnight and all can then look forward to a long hot summer!
