Golden Anniversary: Fifty years ago, the Laois minor Hurling team won the Leinster championship after defeating Kilkenny by 4-09 to 3-08. On the team were two local hurlers Hugh Sheppard and Jim Delahunty. To mark the occasion there will be a function held in O’Loughlins Hotel, Portlaoise on Saturday night, October 4th. Congratulations to Hugh and Jim and we wish you both many more years of good health and happiness.

Cumann na mBunscol: We wish both the boys and girls teams of Our Lady’s Meadow the very best of luck in their campaigns ahead.
