NetsJuvenile Pitch development continues to gather pace: The development of the new Juvenile pitch behind the main pitch at Durrow GAA grounds is making steady progress. Over the past week new ball stopping nets have been installed and barrier fencing is due to be erected shortly to make the pitch safe for our young club members to play and enjoy their games. Great credit to everyone involved in keeping the project going and especially to everyone who supported the club’s recent and ongoing fundraisers to make the pitch a reality. It is hoped that the pitch will be ready for use by the end of the summer.

Hurling Nursery Programme: The Harps GAA Hurling Nursery Programme resumed on June 24th and continues for the next six Tuesdays. The programme runs from 6.30pm to 7.30pm on the All-Weather pitch at grounds of Lions Soccer Club, Cork Road, Durrow. The Nursery Programme is open to all boys in Junior and Senior Infants in the Parish with the purpose to introduce the boys within this age category to the basic skills of hurling. The Club would like to welcome and encourage as many parents as possible to help out with the organisation and running of the Nursery Programme as it’s success will depend on the level of help available. If you have any queries in relation to the Nursery Programme, please contact Robbie Dempsey on (087) 4115971. Many thanks.

Thank You: The Harps GAA Club would like to thank all the coaches who have unselfishly given up their time to coach all the children in the parish. With both schools achieving great results in the recent Cumann na mBunscol competitions their hard work over the school year certainly paid off. Many thanks to Gabby Irwin, Vinnie Cooney, Tommy Walsh, Conor Murphy who take the boys after school in Durrow, to Mary Cleary for looking after the camogie, and to Joe Deegan and Pat Barnaville who coach hurling and camogie in Cullohill School. Well done and many thanks again to all concerned.
