Large crowd for recent Senior Citizens Party
On Saturday 1st March a very successful Senior Citizens Party was held in the Castle Arms Hotel where there was a very large attendance. A lovely meal was enjoyed by all present and there were many happy winners of prizes in the raffle. The cake was cut by the most senior citizens present, Mrs Bolger and Harold Lawlor, who were presented with a gift each and Mrs Bolger was presented with a bouquet of flowers, kindly sponsored by Lawlor’s Gardens. A good afternoon of music and dance was enjoyed by all thanks to Andrew Walsh and guest entertainer Alan Mooney.
The committee wish to thank the management and staff of the Castle Arms Hotel for the wonderful meal, all the volunteer helpers, entertainers and all sponsors of prizes for the raffle, Gay Sullivan who provided transport and anybody who helped in any way in making the day such a wonderful success. Our thanks also to Patricia Alley of The Copper Kettle and Josie McCartney who supplied the cakes, and not forgetting the sponsors who gave generously towards the running cost of the Party, it is very much appreciated.
