A local author, Seosamh O Cuinneagain launched his new book entitled ‘Traces – The Way and Path of My Life’ recently on Monday night, May 28th 2018. In it he documents the hardships both he and his family endured growing up on a small farm. He was educated by the nuns in the convent now Castle Durrow and went to the boys school where his teachers were Christopher Finnegan and Liam Hassett, both now deceased. He had to leave school at the age of fourteen years and work with a local farmer from dawn until dusk before taking up employment with Joe Brophy.
