CULLOHILL ICA: The April meeting of Cullohill ICA was held in the Community Centre on Tuesday last. Votes of Sympathy and Prayers were said for Sheila Moore on the death of her uncle Matt Bergin in Chicago recently, to the Prior and Kavanagh Families on the sudden death of Andy Prior. May all their souls Rest In Peace. Arrangements were made for our upcoming outing to Kilkenny as part of the Guild’s Golden Jubilee celebrations. Deposits are now due for the Federation trip to Arklow Bay Hotel with tours of the surrounding areas. The tour is from June 4th to June 7th. Members expressed disappointment at the reduced services at the Durrow branch of the Bank Of Ireland. The bank has served the extended local area for almost 100 years, giving great service and with very obliging staff over the decades. Another blow for rural Ireland. Ann Delaney and Helen Muldowney won the raffle on the night. Noreen Byrne visited the Guild recently and kept the members up to date with the Federation news. The Pilates classes were very successful and will resume in September. Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 7th at 8pm in Cullohill Community Centre and all are welcome.
