OUR LADY’S MEADOW SCHOOL NEWS – Welcome Back: A big welcome to the twenty-one Junior Infants who have started in Our Lady’s Meadow this year and indeed to the 158 students who have returned for another year. A warm welcome to the new Special Needs Assistant Ann Bailey. Learning Support will be provided by Ms. Kenneally, Ms. Ryan and Ms. O’ Shea this year.

Zebra Crossing: Please keep the zebra crossing clear at *all* times and we encourage all parents and children to cross safely by using the zebra crossing. We also ask parents to obey the one way traffic system that is on place around the green.

Lotto Subscriptions Are Now Due: Our major fundraiser each year is the school’s articipation in the Durrow Parish Lotto. The more tickets we sell through the school the bigger return we receive each month. Over the past 24 months profits from the school lotto have been used to purchase new Computers and PE Equipment. The current jackpot stands at €5,500. To make it easier for you, we have been running a Pay-ahead system for the last number of years. The school year is divided into four Pay-ahead periods and you can choose which pay-ahead period you wish to subscribe to. Once your completed form (available from the School Office) and payment has been received, the Parents’ Council will fillout your ticket and ensure your weekly entry in the lotto draw.

Your school needs you!: The Parents’ Council urgently needs new members and always welcome a helping hand. The time commitment is limited with a meeting perhaps once every two months. Please contact the school office if you are interested and willing to help.

Cumann na mBunscol: We wish both the boys and girls the very best of luck in this years football competitions. Ms. Neary will coach the boys this year and Ms. Curran is coaching the girls. Here’s hoping we’ll get a day out in O’Moore Park and lift the silverware once again!
