This Sunday evening, December 3rd at 6.30pm will see the fifth Annual Christmas Lights for Charity switched on for the festive season in Grange, Ballyragget. Renowned local photographer Pat Farrell who lives in Grange, 3km from Ballyragget on the R694 Freshford road began putting together a massive Christmas lights display at his home in 2012 and each year it has been growing bit-by-bit. The decorations attract hundreds of visitors from across the region with donations accepted for a nominated charity and this year Pat explains that the Alzheimer’s Society will receive all donations made. Pat invites everybody, young and old to come along for the switch on which will take place at 6.30pm on Sunday evening. People travelling by car are advised to exit the N77 Kilkenny road north of Ballyragget at Phelan’s Hardware and travel along the R694 Freshford road for approximately 1.5 miles.
