Ballagh-Cycling-Challenge-2014South Laois Tourism in conjunction with Ossory Cycle Club will stage the Ballagh Cycle Challenge on Sunday 22nd June taking in the scenic countryside of South Laois and North Kilkenny. Registration for this Cycling Ireland event begins at 9.00am in Dec”s Bar Durrow with the 90k off at 10am and the 40k off at 11am. Registration fee includes a Buffet Meal afterwards in Dec’s Bar. Residents on the Cullohill Mountain Road between Gathabawn and Cullohill Castle and from Ballykealy Cross to Derry Road junction Durrow are asked for their co-operation on the day as cyclists will be travelling at speed on the downhill sections.
