THIRD LAOIS DURROW SCOUTS NEWS: The Chief Scout Award is a great challenge for any of our Scouts and our Beavers have all their tasks nearly completed. Through the year, they had to get level two in some of their badges and work on Physical, Environmental and Social Skills. They planted bulbs, did litter picking around the town, and they then had to challenge themselves to do better at a skill of their choice. They also camped with the Roscrea Scouts in Shrahan and shared an intercultural weekend.
This weekend, they are going to undertake one of the last tasks – it is a 10km hike over a 6h day. It might seem easy to us grown up but for our Beavers it is a challenge that they embrace and that will enrich their scouting experience. Go on Beavers – you can do it! Us Adults are only there to help them make this experience a most memorable one, so if you would like to join us and give a bit of your time and help the young Scouts in their exciting journey contact Delphine by phone on (086) 3655178 to find out more.
