colouringOver the last few weeks children in Cullohill NS have been taking part in a colouring competition coordinated by the local Tidy Towns Grouping. Classes from Fourth down to Junior Infants were each given individual pictures to color while fifth and sixth class were asked to design, draw and color a picture with a Tidy Towns theme. The standard of entry was very high and when the judging panel of Julie Mullins, Michael Killeen and Ann Kilbride met they had a difficult task. After much deliberation the following were the prize winners – Una Brophy, Jade Bergin (5th/6th class), Ella Henderson, Lorcan McGuigan (4th class), Will and Ned Duggan (2nd/3rd class), Aaron Mahon, Freya Holland-Rome, Marie Brennan (1st/2nd class) and Eoin Holland (Junior/Senior Infants). Last Friday Chairman Paschal Bergin and other members of the tidy towns committee visited the school and made the presentations and had a mini party for the children with Principal Ann Marie Bowe and the other teachers also joining in! Well done to all involved.
