THANK YOU TO THE PARISHIONERS OF DURROW AND CULLOHILL: Yesterday the post arrived and in it an envelope from Durrow Ireland and what a surprise! A large cheque for €5160 and we weren’t expecting it to be nearly as big as that. Thank you all very much indeed. Now we can start making lots of plans for Romania and Kosovo mostly. For this year we shall be going to Kosovo in March and will look at again two house projects for two very poor families who live in dreadful conditions also we have a family of six living in one small room in Romania no bathroom or Water. We hope to build them a house with three rooms and a bathroom this summer. Hopefully there will be holidays for poor children. None of this possible without the truly generous help of the people of Ireland & Wales.

SPONSORED SILENCE: The Church of Ireland congregation in St. Fintan’s Church in Durrow is raising money to restore the church tower. On Sunday 3rd March from 2pm until 5pm ‘sitters’ who have been sponsored gather in the church and remain silent for one, two or three hours depending on the time they’ve been sponsored for. They may read/walk around the church. Sponsorship forms have been circulated amongst the congregation. Please support if you can. Donations can be given on the day.
