EUCHARISTIC ADORATION: The Diocese of Ossory is developing a Diocesan Adoration Lay Committee in order to increase the practice of Eucharistic Adoration in parishes throughout the diocese. You are most welcome to attend an Information Meeting in The Chapter Room, St Mary’s Cathedral, Kilkenny on Saturday 6th April at 11.30am (finishing at 12.45pm). Light Refreshments served. BLESSINGTON MILLENNIUM CHOIR: Returning after their wonderful performance early last summer the Blessington Millennium Choir will present a concert in St. Fintan’s Church (Church of Ireland) at Durrow on Saturday 6th April from 7.30pm. This is a fundraiser for the restoration of St. Fintan’s Church tower. As well as light choral pieces, including Percy French songs, the concert will include tenor solos, O’Carolan harp duets and organ music.

CAKE SALE & RAFFLE – Saturday 23rd March at 7.30pm in the Presentation entre, Kilkenny Rd, Durrow. This fundraiser is for 8 year old Ella Dempsey, who has a tumour on her hip and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. Ella’s next big step is to travel to Essen in Germany for 5 weeks of Radio Therapy. All proceeds from the event will go towards Ella’s trip and we greatly appreciate your support!

TIDY TOWNS: For Every Day of Lent: Durrow Tidy Towns are asking you to come on board with us to recycle your good quality items that you no longer use or need to Durrow Community Centre, which benefits the Community Centre and National Council for the Blind and to Vincent’s Charity Shop in Abbeyleix. (Donations to the Community Centre by 22nd March and to Vincent’s by 25th April). This is a great opportunity to recycle for good, a perfect excuse to downsize your wardrobe and share good used clothing to the Community Centre and good used clothing, shoes, or household items to Vincent’s to benefit others. If you are dropping your bags in please let the Community Centre and Vincent’s know that it’s in relation to Durrow Tidy Towns as they have come on board with us to track same, they will tick a box for each bag donated so we can have count of how much has been recycled for good. Community Centre Donations are Monday to Friday.
