The Harps GAA Club hosted their Annual Wrenboys Hurling Tournament on St. Stephen’s Day last with four teams competing for the John Moore Memorial Cup. Four games of fifteen minutes per side were played with “Cuala” emerging as the eventual winners.Β Club Chairman Seamus Campion and Sheila Moore (who sponsored the John Moore Memorial Cup) presented the winning captain Shane Brophy with the cup.

Also on the dayΒ Pauric Dunne was presented with the Young Player of the Year Award by the Club’s Chairman Seamus Campion and Emer Murphy, daughter of Beatrice Alley (who sponsored the trophy in memory of her Husband John). A fantastic achievement, well done Pauric!

Finally,Β Michael Martin, on behalf of Laois Simon Community (Homeless Charity) accepted a cheque for €588 which was raised by The Harps GAA Club’s Annual Charity Tournament. Well done to all involved!
